📄 Description

This update fulfills the Renovate-review task for webgrip/homelab-cluster#199 by producing a committed dependency risk assessment artifact for the Talos installer image upgrade. The review covers upstream changes across all intermediate versions and maps risk to local Talos upgrade usage in this repo.

  • Summary of delivered change

    • Added .copilot-review/result.md with the required pr: 199 header and full review body in the mandated template.
  • Upstream analysis captured

    • Reviewed Talos release data for v1.12.5v1.13.2 (including skipped versions).
    • Highlighted notable behavior/security/migration changes (e.g., LifecycleService migration, server-side apply behavior shift, containerd/CVE context, /proc/PID/mem hardening).
    • Called out uncertainty for v1.13.1 release-note availability and used compare data to close gaps.
  • Repository-local impact assessment

    • Documented where this dependency is wired (talos/talenv.yaml) and how it propagates through upgrade automation (.taskfiles/talos/Taskfile.yaml, talos/talconfig.yaml, runbooks).
    • Framed operational blast radius and pre-merge checks specific to Talos node rollouts.
  • Artifact example
